You CAN discuss politics at work, but be mindful of the minefields

The 2016 presidential election has been anything but ordinary. It’s certainly been contentious. And at some points, it’s been downright outrageous. Never before have we seen an election so rooted in controversy and scandal. As the final weeks of the election grow ever more combative, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will surely weather a few more storms before the final ballot is tallied. And Americans will be along for the ride, because whether you want to or not, this election has been difficult to avoid.

The 24/7 news cycle, social media, TV and radio commercials, rallies, and robo-calls have kept Trump and Clinton in your face for more than a year. But interestingly enough, there is still one place where the election chatter is stifled – the office.
